Why monthly
What actually happens to a site nobody is watching.
A plugin updates and the contact form stops delivering. A supplier changes a link and your "Book now" button goes to a dead page. A certificate lapses and the browser starts calling your business "Not secure." None of it announces itself. You find out when a customer mentions it, months later, or you never find out at all.
